Perfect for book lovers and craft enthusiasts alike, this DIY unicorn and rainbow embellished fabric bookmark will not only keep your place in a book but also add a touch of fantasy to your reading experience. All you need is some fabric and embellishments from your local Walmart, basic sewing supplies, and some cardboard. Follow the steps below to learn how to make your own fabric bookmark!
What You'll Need:

Hot Glue

Instructions
1. Cut Fabric and cardboard: Use scissors to cut out your bookmark shaped on cardboard and 2 pieces of fabric. Make sure the fabric pieces a slightly bigger than the cardboard, so you have room for the cardboard after sewing the fabric.
2. Sew the Fabric: Pin the 2 sids of the fabric together, pattern-sides facing each other. Using a sewing machine or by hand, sew 3 of the 4 sides. Flip the material so the pattern-side is now facing out.
3. Add The Cardboard: Slip the piece of cardboard into the fabric pocket you have made. Sew the last side closed with the cardboard inside.
4. Make a hole for ribbon: Use a hole puncher to punch a hole through the fabric and cardboard. Take your ribbon and tie it through the hole. (skip this if you do not want to add a ribbon).
5. Add Embellishments: Using a hot glue gun or strong adhesive, attach the embellishments. If adding a ribbon, you can also glue an embellishment to it for extra charm.
