How To Remove A Button Loop

Ever wonder how to get rid of that button loop (or button shank for those in the craft industry?)

It’s a lot easier than you think!

What you need:

  1.  Your favorite novelty Dress It Up button

  2. Nail clippers (cheap version) or a Button shank remover (expensive version)

  3. Glue

Step 1:  Turn over your Dress It Up novelty button so the back with the loop is upright.

Step 2:  Use your nail clippers to grasp the button loop and clip both sides of it to remove and make the back of the button flat.

Step 3:  If your Dress It Up button has more than one part, use glue (E6000, Gorilla glue, Krazy glue, any plastic adhesive) to glue both parts of the embellishment together for use on your favorite craft medium.

NOW THE FUN BEGINS!  What do you want to make??

Your newly flat Dress It Up embellishment can be used on many items to enhance and personalize your project.  Find your favorite photo memory and create a frame using your embellishments.  Want to have a party or a baby shower?  Use your Dress It Up items for your invitations or seat assignments.  Know a nurse?  Use the embellishment to decorate their badge reel!  Use your imagination…. The uses are endless with your new Dress It Up loop free embellishment!
